A bit about me!

who’s behind the camera and curls?

Hey, I'm Nathan! A wedding, elopement and portrait photographer by day, and live music, events and festival photographer by night. I live my life in the events scene, capturing moments from intimate press-shots and elopements, through to 10,000+ person music festivals.

The first time I picked up a camera I would've been around 5 years old. We grew up with every adventure being documented with an old camcorder. My love for capturing moments, though dormant for a while, came to the surface eventually.

Fast forward 20 years, I pursued my dreams of joining the Australian Army - to serve and protect those who are unable to. Hiking the QLD's National Parks and Mountain tops throughout S.E Asia on leave periods.
All moments I couldn't help but to capture!

From there I bought my first digital camera and slowly found my niche'.

My Biggest Challenge

Leaving my dream job and the financial security with it...
I always thought I'd be in the Australian Army for life; but 5 years in (2016-2021), both my shoulders needed surgery. I made the decision to leave and use the recovery time to explore my creative side.

Although I am almost back to 100%, I still spend 2 days a week with my physio and recovery team while running my predominantly FIFO business. A wild ride I've learned to love.

My Greatest Moment

Mere days after leaving the Army, I was photographing a festival in Townsville "Neck of The Woods" 2021. Kim Churchill was one of the acts and I've always admired him on and off the stage. I had the pleasure of getting to know him on a deeper level that day. The event finished with us side stage singing along to Ball Park Music's "It's nice to be alive" while the Full Moon was shinning in from above the crowd. WILDD!

My Favourite Sessions

I work along side a charity in Brisbane called "Ambulance Wish".

These Angels provide a last wish for palliative care patients - each time I find myself tearing up. It's beautiful to be a part of capturing a last adventure for families so they can hold these memories for years to come.
